FANUC America Corporation (FAC) is currently searching for a FANUC Robot Engineer to design, develop, debug and deliver project software (PC and Robot based) for the customers of the Automation Systems Group (ASG). Primary responsibilities will include:
- Lead software developments on large projects
- Supervise other engineers assigned to project development
- Write detailed software specifications
- Develop robot programs written in both TPP+ and KAREL
- Experience using simulation tools preferably ROBOGUIDE
- Develop and integrate custom PC software when needed to meet specific customer requirement
- Support system field installation and startup of ASG systems
- Develop customer specific operator manuals
- Develop and conduct customer specific training classes
- Lead software development teams developing process specific solutions
- Support sales and quoting efforts as required
- Supervise and train entry-level engineers
Ideal candidate will have the following skills and education:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent relevant experience
- Master s degree preferred
- Minimum five years automation experience working with FANUC robots
- Experience in material handling, assembly, welding or other robotic applications is preferred
- Proficient with Robot programming – TP and Karel
- Knowledge in VB.Net and other database programming
- Exposure to PLC programming - (FANUC PMC, Rockwell, Siemens)
- Ability to lead and train a technical team
- Willingness to travel to customer sites (overnight travel may exceed 30% or more at times)
