RN, Clinical Coordinator, Behavior Health Unit Job at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital
Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital (HMNH) is looking for a RN, Clinical Coordinator, Behavior Health Unit (BHU) to join their team. HMNH is a 357 bed acute care, independent not-for-profit hospital with a Level II Trauma Center and supports 71 specialties and sub-specialties.
Located in a picturesque valley 35 miles north of Los Angeles, Santa Clarita has been steadfast in its growing role as a first choice community for raising families and building businesses in Los Angeles County. In collaboration with the Service Line Director and unit Manager, the RN Clinical Coordinator, BHU will be:
· responsible for the daily departmental operations.
· provide shift supervision and day to day management of clinical nursing practice, patient care delivery, human, fiscal and other resources,
· be engaged in the development of personnel, compliance with regulatory and professional standards
· issue resolution and fostering interdisciplinary collaborative relationships within the Department and the organization as a whole.
· coordinate and maintain balanced schedules of hospital nursing staff according to patient acuity.
· provides clinical expertise to clinical staff as well as act as a liaison between staff and family members.
· consistently model excellence in patient care and service excellence and contributes to unit leadership at a high level of proficiency.
Licensure and Certification:
- Current California RN License
- Current BL0996S provider card
- National Certification in clinical area of expertise preferred
- Current MAB/VIP certification
- Current LPS certified
Education:
- AA degree, Bachelor’s/Master’s preferred
- Member in professional organization preferred
Experience:
- Three (3) years current acute care nursing experience.
- One (1) year progressive charge nurse experience
