The Country Store serves farmers, homeowners, businesses, families and communities in Washington State, Coeur d’Alene, ID & Stevensville, MT. Candidates should be flexible and detail oriented with a great attitude while ensuring excellent customer service at all times. Ideal candidates will possess a high level of initiative, discretion and independent judgment, with a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Job responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

• Assisting customer orders by loading and unloading products as needed

• Maintaining product stock in the store and warehouse
• Assembling products and displays
• Greeting customers and promptly assessing their wants and needs
• Delivering products to customer delivery points
• Performing preventive maintenance on equipment (delivery truck, forklift, etc.) and facilities
• Dispensing propane and kerosene
• Safely operating a forklift
• Exhibit an ability to get along with others
• Practice punctual and reliable attendance
• Performing other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen as a condition of employment (includes testing for marijuana/THC)
• Possess a valid driver license and maintain a safe driving record

• Commitment to excellence and high standards especially in terms of providing outstanding customer service
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods; walk, bend, stoop and kneel frequently
• Lift, carry and load 60 pounds (minimum) weight requirements
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Proven track record of being dependable and reliable

• Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing in a manner with co-workers and customers for safety purposes
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, problem-solving, and analytical skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience working in a retail setting
• Product knowledge in one or more of the following areas: feed, seed, pet food & supplies, hardware, fencing, animal health, tack, clothing & footwear, lawn & garden or wild bird supplies
• Experience dispensing propane cylinders
• Experience safely operating pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.

SCHEDULE

This is a part-time, 20 - 32 hours per week position (schedule may vary). Sunday through Saturday. Must be available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed.

COMPENSATION

$15.00 - $17.00 per hour. In addition to generous employee discounts, the company offers 401(k) and medical benefits to part-time employees upon meeting eligibility requirements.
