RETAIL STORE ASSISTANT MANAGER Job at Level Nine Sports

We are searching for an enthusiastic leader who is passionate about the outdoors and the benefits of living an active lifestyle. Knowledge of ski, snowboard, or bike, whether personal or industry level, is required for this role.
At Level Nine, we search the world to find the best deals on great ski, snowboard, and bike equipment for our customers while providing a world class customer experience. We are searching for a candidate who is knowledgeable and passionate about helping people find the best gear for them and their families, while building a great team to meet this challenge. This retail location is closed on Sunday.

Key Duties Include:

  • Overall responsibility for the store including merchandising, staff, customer experience, layout and appearance.
  • Working closely and communicate with assistant managers, shift leads and staff to create an effective fun, welcoming, inclusive work environment. Everyone should feel welcomed and staff opinions and ideas should be respected.
  • Identifying areas of opportunity for sales growth and/or margin enhancement.
  • Ensuring your store has the right mix and amount of product on the floor.
  • Merchandising products on the sales floor for an easy customer shopping experience and pleasing visual appearance.
  • Proactively identifying any gaps/holes in inventory and work with fulfillment/merchandising to find solutions.
  • Assisting customers with product solutions from our sales floor & website to get them the gear they need to have fun.
  • Collaborating with leadership, marketing and other retail store leaders to align in store promotions with online sales and initiatives to the greatest degree possible.
  • Leading out social media marketing, business development and community involvement for your location.
  • Properly managing store inventory, including returns, product pull backs for online sales, interstore transfers, employee sales and inventory counts.
  • Creating excitement in the stores through events, promotions, merchandising opportunities, store layout and feel, and staff enthusiasm.
  • Building a high functioning team that works well together in a rewarding, fun environment.
  • Coaching and developing in the areas of customer service, sales, boot fitting, product service and related tools and software.
  • Participate in discussions and trainings to increase the teams product knowledge and ability to communicate the features to a customer.
  • Manage retail operations, including but not limited to:
  • Building maintenance
  • Operational infrastructure including security
  • Safety procedures and training
  • Ad hoc responsibilities as needed

Salary & Schedule:

  • $17.00-$19.00/hour
  • 8 hour shifts
  • Weekend availability (Saturdays only)
