MyNorth Media and Traverse Magazine are looking for a motivated and reliable carrier to deliver Traverse Magazine around Northern Michigan. The ideal candidate will have a flexible schedule, “can-do” attitude, and apt for technology. This is a part time independent contract position with MyNorth Media and you will be paid on a monthly basis. This position requires organization, the ability to plan and map efficient routes, and a willingness to maintain a detailed delivery and pickup record throughout their shifts.

The Compensation & Benefits

• Flexible schedule
• MyNorth Media pays $1.95 for every magazine sold with options to increase this amount by adding new sales vendors and / or delivering additional products. Current carriers are making around $8,500 this year.

Responsibilities

• Monthly delivery and pickup of Traverse Magazine to a list of retailers around the Northern Michigan region
• Bookkeeping, record keeping and finalizing reports
• Potential additional monthly delivery of Special Section Magazines for a set amount

Requirements:

• You must be able to complete a delivery/pickup route in 3-5 business days a month that encompasses: Harbor Springs, Petoskey, Charlevoix, Northport, Suttons Bay, Glen Arbor, Traverse City, Frankfort, Beulah, and Benzonia

• You must be able to lift, load, and carry 50+ lbs

• You must be dependable with a reliable vehicle that can carry heavy loads of magazines

• You must maintain a valid driver’s license and auto insurance

• You must be flexible, optimistic, and have a keen attention to detail

• You must have basic math skills

• Technology requirements: Smart phone with internet access, access to a computer with Microsoft Excel, access to a printer

• Experience driving Northern Michigan a plus!
