Volunteer Behavioral Health is now seeking for a Respite Case Manager in the Smyrna, Tennessee area.

The Planned Respite Program is a model program that provides planned respite services to families whose children have a serious emotional disturbance (SED) or are dually-diagnosed with a SED and Autism. Planned Respite helps enrolled caregivers of children learn the skills necessary for getting respite care. It teaches caregivers how to find respite providers and to train those providers on how to care for their children. Planned Respite also gives caregivers some immediately-needed short-term respite.

What You’ll Do

· Use a systems approach model for working with families.

· Implement behavior management strategies based on applied behavior analysis principles.

· Provide home and community-based training and respite.

· Provide services for both the child and the family.

· Be responsible for ecological assessment and functional analysis of behavior problems, collection of data, daily logs of progress, and on-going written and oral evaluations to parents based on daily objectives and data.

· Develop Individualized Family Respite Plans (IFRP) in collaboration with families.

· Develop training based on family's needs.

· Help families develop, identify, and access respite alternatives in the community.

· Provide direct respite to families in the course of skills generalization training for the child.

What You’ll Bring

· A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, or a related field, with some prior experience working with families and children.

· A basic knowledge of child development and behavioral management techniques is preferred.

· Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to efficiently reach goals within a large non-profit organization.

· The pay for this position ranges between $27,000-30,000+ based on experience
