The Manager on Duty will create a warm, inviting and memorable experience for our owners and guests. Team members include all areas of the resort including but not limited to F&B outlets, Retail, Dispatch, Front Desk, Resort Services, Engineering Housekeeping, and Security. This person will monitor all aspects of the business related to the aforementioned above. They will be required to assist, participate as a member of management in the absence of an area resort managers or Sr. Management. Additional responsibilities include ongoing training, coaching and counseling as needed. This individual will ensure the staff’s commitment to maintaining service expectations through observation, communication and recognition.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Manager on Duty will create a warm, inviting and memorable experience for our owners and guests. Team members include all areas of the resort including but not limited to F&B outlets, Retail, Dispatch, Front Desk, Resort Services, Engineering Housekeeping, and Security. This person will monitor all aspects of the business related to the aforementioned above. They will be required to assist, participate as a member of management in the absence of an area resort managers or Sr. Management. Additional responsibilities include ongoing training, coaching and counseling as needed. This individual will ensure the staff’s commitment to maintaining service expectations through observation, communication and recognition. The Manager On Duty will serve as a role model, develop talent and provide staff support in handling complex situations. Other activities include daily property inspections; respond to emergency situations involving owners/ guests or staff. The Manager will confer with other departments to coordinate and follow up on all guest information.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND TASKS

  • Maintains a high and visible profile with guests by visiting all areas of the

Property, interacts when possible. In addition this manager will visit operational
areas and provide support as needed.

  • Continuously inspects resort property facilities and operations and immediately advises appropriate department managers of potential or active problems related to safety, cleanliness, and customer service.
  • Ensures that all behavioral standards meet and/or exceed expectations.
  • Supports, training, motivation, and coaching of personnel.
  • Ensures that all VIP units are ready to be occupied by completing a thorough Inspection. Will report any deficiencies to the proper department for follow up.
  • Responds to all guest/ employee 911 emergencies. Acts as the on scene incident commander until appropriate Sr. management arrives.
  • Assists with special projects as assigned by Director and Sr. Manager on Duty.
  • Provides daily reporting and follow up with all root causes on all MOD Incidents entered on the daily MOD Report.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager on Duty is expected to demonstrate thoughtful decisions in a high-pressured environment. This individual is responsible for the actions, results, successes and failures of the team. Service, operational levels, training, and employee motivation should be the focus. They should take responsibility for the failures and share the successes, always modeling the approach expected from the team. Guidance is received from the Resort Sr. Manager on Duty with respect to general objectives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Candidate must have least 3-5 years of progressive management experience in the Hospitality industry and/or a Bachelor’s Degree in hospitality or business management. Ideal candidates will have hospitality experience preferably within a timeshare environment.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Maintain an active American Red Cross CPR/ AED rescue certification.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and poses an active License issued by the Department of Motor vehicles.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of resort policies, procedures, and operations and ensure communication of relevant information as required.
  • Must possess a sincere dedication to provide an unsurpassed level of owner and guest satisfaction.
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to the continuous development of all area team members.
  • Must have a high degree of judgment.
  • Must have demonstrated exceptional verbal and written communication skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $64,000.00 per year
