Position: Resident Care Coordinator

Reports to: Director of Nursing

Experience, Qualifications, & Requirements:

Previous experience is preferred!

1. Capable of reading and understanding with reasonable accommodation, equipment directions and instructions, chemical and other directions and instructions and resident care information and instructions.

2. Able to use a computer

3. Capable of lifting over 30 pounds.

4. Capable of working with minimal supervision.

5. Knowledge of proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.

General Purpose:

To be of assistance to the licensed staff and to aid in the day to day duties of the Nursing/Care Department.

General Duties:

1. Make appointment packets

2. Confirm appointments

3. File charts and assorted chart papers

4. Call and reorder medications needing refills

5. Set up new charts

6. Breakdown and file old charts

7. Set up residents with incontinent mail order products

8. Reorder incontinent products and put away upon receipt

9. Thin charts regularly

10. Destroy meds per Ponderosa Protocol +

11. Check meds in Med Room and destroy outdated meds making sure that meds are backed up +

12. Rate report per schedule

13. Verify references for prospective hires

14. Monitor Point of Care on point click weekly for incomplete documentation

15. Participates in the facility emergency response plan.

16. Responds as capable to resident needs which may not be within the general purpose of his/her position.

17. Responds as capable to environmental spills, hazards, or event which may create a danger or damage if left unattended.

18. All other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing.

Permits & Training Requirements:

1. Complete an approved HIV/Bloodborne pathogens orientation and test within 30 days of hire.

2. Provide evidence of a valid tuberculosis test on or before start date.

3. Complete an approved CPR/First Aid Training course within 30 days of hire and present a valid copy of certification for facility files.

4. Complete an approved Food Handlers Course and obtain valid copy of certification within 30 days of hire.

5. Complete a criminal history check and disclosure form upon hire, as required. Employment may be contingent upon receipt of an approved background check.

6. Any other requirements as may be determined under Washington State, federal or local law.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.50 - $20.00 per hour
