Job Summary
Animal care assistant taking care of Drosophila stocks and fly care on the weekends.
Essential Job Duties
- Help maintain insect populations within a laboratory.
- Come in during the week to take care of the Drosophila lab stocks.
- Come in during weekends to take care of all the flies for the lab.
- Avability to come in on some holidays to take care of the flies.
Basic Qualifications
- Ability to carefully follow basic procedural instructions.
- Applicant must be reliable, detail-oriented and independent.
- Must be able to work weekends and a few hours on holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience working with insects or other animals in a laboratory setting.
- Student pursing an Associate or Bachelor's degree in science.
- Interest in research.
