Summary:
Reliability Manager is to identify and manage asset reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations. The primary areas of responsibility are as follows; Loss Elimination, Risk Management and Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM).
RESPONSIBILITIES (This list is not all inclusive and may not include all duties assigned):
- Abide by all BPI safety general and procedural policies.
- Assist in the facilities Environmental Compliance.
- Providing daily technical support for the mill maintenance organization.
- Infrared thermography (IR) Thermal imaging detects many problems that vibration analysis cannot.
- Oil Analysis – Optimizing hydraulic systems and equipment life expectancy and yielding excellent equipment condition and failure analysis information.
- RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) Root cause analysis of past failures, in order to prevent future ones. Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action.
- RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) Type of failure analysis before the failure happens. Moreover, it is completely proactive.
- PMO (Preventative Maintenance Optimization) Maintains and analyze equipment data, PM’s and calibration plans and coordinates the calibration program.
- Precision Maintenance Practices - Gathers and examines basic reliability data from floor observations and correlates for analysis using well defined engineering techniques, principles and procedures. It should be demonstrated how these affect the OEE and MTBF
- Assist Projects Manager with new equipment design and installation specifications along with commissioning plans. Ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations.
- Develops equipment specific training outlines and tracking metrics.
- Perform specific maintenance related SOP changes.
- Provide support and conduct risk assessments.
- Assist in providing direction for Maintenance department personnel.
- Coach and develop reliability staff including, manage attendance, disciplinary and performance reviews.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
ABILITIES & SKILLS:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs including CAD
- Understanding of mechanical reliability programs.
- Understanding design and maintenance of rotating and fixed equipment.
- Understanding of Preventative/Predictive Maintenance Technologies.
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to interface with employees at all levels.
- Effective communication skills are essential. Must be able to give and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Demonstrate proactive relationships and self-motivation.
- Good written and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to work additional hours as necessary.
- Any other duties as may be assigned.
- SAP experience a plus
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- 2 Year Degree, Mechanical Maintenance or other related field, Education, certifications and experience may be considered to meet educational requirements
- 5 years’ experience in reliability maintenance role
- 1 year experience in a supervisory role preferred
- ISO Category IV Certification preferred
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Changing work conditions ranging from very hot to very cold.
- Wet environments may be experienced.
- Loud conditions that necessitate the need for hearing protection will be encountered.
