Registered Nurse (RN) Job at Hinds Behavioral Health Services
Job Summary: Provides nursing care of psychiatric consumers on a full-time basis. Designs nursing care plans and assists in the development of the overall care plan for children and adult psychiatric consumers. Ensures appropriate overall care is administered in a manner conducive to recovery. The incumbent will be responsible for administering and dispensing the proper dose of suboxone medication as prescribed by the Certified Psychiatrist or Certified PMHNP. Normal hours are 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Mon-Fri.
Qualifications: Associate’s degree in nursing required; previous psychiatric experience preferred. Current RN license in Mississippi. Employee must demonstrate ability to recognize consumers’ individual needs based on medical conditions, age (infants, pediatrics, adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures. OSHA – moderate to high risk. May be exposed to infections and contagious diseases. Occasional exposure to unpleasant consumer or unit elements. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations.
