Description
Good Shepherd Hospice is seeking a compassionate candidate for a Registered Nurse serving patients and their families in JOPLIN and surrounding communities.
The ideal candidate must be passionate about providing quality care and excellent service to patients and their families. The Hospice RN makes visits, under the direction of a Patient Care Manager, to supplement the nursing care needs of our patients/families.
- 8am to 5pm, Monday thru Friday
- Previous experience in hospice, home health, or geriatrics preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Returning phone calls promptly
- Informing the physician of changes in the patient’s condition and needs, after consulting with a supervising RN
- Communicating with medical professionals, the hospice team and others
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records
- Elevating necessary matters to the attention of the patient care manager
- Demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
- Hospice experience preferred
- Must be of high integrity including maintenance of confidential information including all patient records
- Works as a team player, following directions and adhering to defined care plans
- Demonstrated commitment to the hospice philosophy of care
- Can successfully pass background checks
- Current state license as an RN
