JOB SUMMARY
The Registered Nurse-Acute functions as a vital member of the healthcare team by demonstrating a customer/patient focus, effective communication, professionalism and self-development, and teamwork. The individual utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate comprehensive care provided to selected patient populations and their families. The Registered Nurse - Hospital is expected to demonstrate excellent clinical, problem-solving, interpersonal and leadership skills and make decisions consistent with hospital policies, department protocols/guidelines, and the Wisconsin Nurse Practice Act.
This position will work in the Marshfield Medical Center, Marshfield, WI on the 2 East 16 bed short stay surgical unit
WORK SHIFT
12 hour nights shifts including every third weekend and every other holiday.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
(For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.)
Required Education: Diploma or degree in nursing.

Preferred Education: Bachelor's degree in nursing.
EXPERIENCE
Preferred/Optional Experience: Experience in an acute care setting.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position, which must be maintained in good standing:
Minimum Required: Current State of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Nurse Compact License. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire.
