Job Summary: (This is a 1099 contractor position), all candidates MUST be reside in the state of California.

The Regional Broker will be responsible for supporting the Designated Broker with the supervision of the licensed sales agents in the state by reviewing sales contracts, verifying the continued licensing of the agents, training to best practices not only from a regulatory standpoint, but also training on NAR best practices to ensure full compliance with the association & MLS rules. You will work to ensure the risk management plans for the brokerage and state are implemented. You will define the delivery of exceptional real estate brokerage services to the agents and their clients as well as all operational elements necessary to comply with the individual state licensing law, association membership and MLS participation, along with transaction review process and compliance training.

The ideal candidate will have an exceptional track record as a manager and leader in the Real Estate industry, ensuring the performance and legal compliance of the state team, an understanding of real estate brokerage and a collaborative approach. They must be an excellent people manager and implementer of systems and processes. Promoting a positive company image through the provision of superior service to our agents.

Duties/Responsibilities:

The Regional Broker will be working closely with the agents handling contract and compliance duties. This role will also be interacting with the various Real department leads across the country delivering exceptional service and ensuring compliance with all regulatory bodies.

  • As a participant on the REAL state team, you ensure that REAL delivers exceptional brokerage support to agents in their representation of clients and customers
  • Promptly responds to agents request for assistance
  • Effectively consults and engages with Real agents and others in problem solving of matters associated with difficult or complex transaction issues
  • Assist the ongoing enhancement of and compliance with company wide and individual state brokerage operations
  • Define and conduct training to support the enhancement of agent’s knowledge and understanding of contract, risk management, licensing and state real estate law
  • Effectively consult and engage with problem solving of matters associated with difficult or complex transaction issues
  • Oversee the creation and ongoing enhancement of and compliance with company-wide and individual provincial brokerage operations manuals
  • Support innovation in how the company can efficiently support its growing state agent base in terms of brokerage operation
  • Worked in a remote, digital technology
  • Timely complete review contract files within 72 hours
  • Use company provided technology as the preferred method of communication with leadership.
  • Respond to all communication and chats promptly
  • Must have a working knowledge of State Forms, Contracts, Real Estate Laws, Regulations, Rules and Updates/Changes
  • Ensure demand letters, notices of lawsuits and other correspondence of legal proceedings are turned over to Brokerage Operations leadership promptly
  • Work closely with agents on best practices with their contracts, professionalism and ethics to ensure a Real agents are not charged with ethics complaints with Realtor associations
  • Coordinate with the state broker to have regular communication with agents, including, compliance tips, informational videos, contract tips etc. posted in your state Workplace group
  • Send your monthly invoice to Real’s accounting office on or before the 25th of each month for payment to be delivered on or before the 5th of the following month
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

  • Experience with Google Suite, (include other technologies you feel are necessary)

  • Experience with resolving consumer and State Commission complaints
  • Strong leadership skills in developing and maintaining solid relationships with agents to motivate and encourage them to achieve their goals
  • Promote a positive company image through the provision of superior customer service to our clients and associates
  • Stellar presentation skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the state
  • Ability to articulate the company value proposition to agents and consumers
  • The Regional Broker will take ownership of his or her work, doing what is needed without being asked and maintaining a high level of follow-through
  • The Regional Broker will be receptive to feedback, willing to learn and embrace continuous improvement
  • The Regional Broker will be willing to ask for clarification, direction and training in areas they feel are needed

  • The Regional Broker will be sensitive to fellow staff members and treat them with the highest level of professionalism.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years experience as broker, and ability to manage with supervisory capacity 25-50 agents
  • Strong skills in legal compliance, necessary to resolve issues and complaints
  • Must hold an active real estate broker license and be in good standing with the State Associations and NAR. Must have continuing education credits in real estate, management, and legal compliance
  • Additional real estate designations is a plus
  • Previous experience managing a branch office or at a state level is a plus
