Job Description

The HEP Recruitment Coordinator is committed to expanding educational opportunities for migrant seasonal farmworkers and their families. This position requires developing and implementing a robust recruitment plan that meets the needs of potential HEP participants and ensures that annual recruitment goals for the program are met. Key responsibilities include:

• Develops and oversees implementation of HEP recruitment plan
• Maintains current knowledge of HEP eligibility requirements
• Provides timely and accurate information to potential HEP participants and their families
• Establishes and maintains partnerships with local agencies and employers who work with migrant seasonal farmworkers
• Schedules and attends recruitment events
• Verifies and documents participants’ eligibility for HEP services
• Facilitates participants’ transition to HEP services
• Communicates with other program staff about participants’ needs
• Ensures that annual outreach and recruitment goals for the program are met

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, education, a GED content area, or related field
• Two years working with historically marginalized populations
• One year working in an educational program
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with social media
• Demonstrated ability to be flexible and responsive to potential participants’ needs
• Demonstrated cultural sensitivity
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with GED preparation
• Experience with recruitment and/or educational outreach
• Migrant seasonal farmworker background or experience
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English

Salary will be between $46,500 and $48,500 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
