Job Description
The HEP Recruitment Coordinator is committed to expanding educational opportunities for migrant seasonal farmworkers and their families. This position requires developing and implementing a robust recruitment plan that meets the needs of potential HEP participants and ensures that annual recruitment goals for the program are met. Key responsibilities include:
- Develops and oversees implementation of HEP recruitment plan
- Maintains current knowledge of HEP eligibility requirements
- Provides timely and accurate information to potential HEP participants and their families
- Establishes and maintains partnerships with local agencies and employers who work with migrant seasonal farmworkers
- Schedules and attends recruitment events
- Verifies and documents participants’ eligibility for HEP services
- Facilitates participants’ transition to HEP services
- Communicates with other program staff about participants’ needs
- Ensures that annual outreach and recruitment goals for the program are met
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public relations, marketing, education, a GED content area, or related field
- Two years working with historically marginalized populations
- One year working in an educational program
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience with social media
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and responsive to potential participants’ needs
- Demonstrated cultural sensitivity
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GED preparation
- Experience with recruitment and/or educational outreach
- Migrant seasonal farmworker background or experience
- Bilingual fluency in Spanish/English
Additional Information

Salary will be between $46,500 and $48,500 per year, commensurate with education and experience.
