Strategy & Operations Analyst

In your role as an Strategy & Operations Analyst, you will be responsible for the day-to-day support and execution of projects that may span across areas in Strategy & Operations including Product Originations, Customer Service, Servicing, Recoveries. Additionally, core to the responsibility of each member of the Strategy & Operations team is to continually challenge the status quo to ensure optimization of all processes that support the full customer lifecycle - your work will have a direct impact on the bottom line of the business.

What you do at Avant:

  • Manage initiatives that focus on process optimization and efficiency
  • Own end-to-end execution from identification and initial assessment through to recommendation and implementation
  • Coordinate with department leaders and business stakeholders to better understand objectives and ensure that operational processes align with product and business goals
  • Oversee the execution and ongoing management of strategic deliverables set forth by Leadership
  • Build/maintain operational dashboards and reporting suite to track, manage, and provide valuable insights on metrics and KPIs
  • Create and deliver executive level reporting, including monthly and quarterly updates
  • Primary focus on Collections and Recovery strategy execution and process optimization
  • Contributes to risk assessments and drives actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices
  • Ensures project completion, special assignments, and other ad hoc activities as required
  • Ensures the Operations Team is in compliance with all regulatory policies and procedures
  • Utilize SQL, R, Python for the purpose of data querying, monitoring and data visualization
  • Execute debt sales, contact strategy, settlements and collections/recovery projects in a timely manner and make policy adjustments, provide strategy recommendations with the ultimate goal of optimizing risk
  • Interact with vendors in the identification, tracking and resolution of issues and concerns
  • Serve as the point of contact for debt sales and settlement strategies.
