    Summary:
    Serves at the receptionist secretary for the Lakeview High School. In most cases, this professional will be the first person with whom every guest, visitor, student and parent will come into contact when coming into Lakeview High School. A positive disposition and willingness to assist are important attributes to this position. This position is part of the main office staff, which works collaboratively towards the goal of supporting a positive learning environment by working directly with students, parents, and staff in matters that support the Lakeview High School culture and climate.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Greet public, grant access to persons entering the main office, provide assistance as needed, receive telephone calls, record and disseminate messages, and route calls and messages that come into the main office.
    • Distribute interoffice mail as well as all school related mail, packages, etc.
    • Sell and track Student Parking Permits and tickets. This includes selling permits, entering them into Skyward and preparing deposit of money collected. Also includes monitoring of student tickets and entering same into Skyward.
    • Issue Staff Parking Permits.
    • Manage, review and edit school announcements and collaborate with the student announcers.
    • Enter Field Trip Requests for classroom and academic student trips.
    • Enter student activities and events into the LHS Activity Calendar.
    • Coordinate the Distribution, Collection, Inventory and Rebinding of all Textbooks.
    • Prepare Textbooks for Checkout and maintain catalog.
    • Regular, dependable attendance is a critical performance factor to ensure consistent, high quality customer service and is required for this position.
    • Assist with monitoring 2-way communication for virtual courses
    • Assist with Count day data collection
    • Maintain scholarship information (book)
    • Assist in preparing and sending CA-60’s to Archive
    • Set up college representatives and military recruiter visits
    • Maintain non-food service vending machines and track inventory
    • Manages and tracks issuance of electronic equipment to students.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications Requirements:

    Education and/or Experience:
    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
    • Minimum of two years’ experience in an office environment preferred.

    Special Knowledge/Skills:
    • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to support colleagues within the high school main office.
    • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills.
    • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google programs (such as Drive, Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.), including the willingness to learn and use new computer programs/applications.
    • Ability to develop effective working relationships with all students, staff and the school community.
    • Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and policies.
    • Experience working with students in a diverse, multicultural academic setting preferred.
    • Ability to perform duties of a sensitive & confidential nature.
    • Bilingual preferred.

    COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
    An hourly salary range of $16.16-$17.33 dependent on experience and qualifications combined with a comprehensive fringe benefit package will be offered to the successful applicant.

    Language Skills:
    Ability to read and interpret document. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to staff, students, and community members.

    Mathematical Skills:
    Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.

    Reasoning Ability:
    Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
