English Dermatology, a West Dermatology company, is looking to hire a Radiation Therapist for Brachytherapy (skin) to head up our rapidly growing clinic. We are looking to start part time with potential for future full time hours. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Provide brachytherapy treatment preparation including simulation and medical intake.
• Delivers brachytherapy treatments under the direction of the radiation oncologist.
• Assist in the development of patient treatment plans.
• Maintain treatment equipment as per specific equipment guidelines and requirements
• Maintain Arizona Radiation Regulatory Agency (ARRA)/DHS or other regulatory agency license.
• Works closely with physicist to ensure accurate doses are tracked and delivered to patients.
• Performs QA as required
• Follows OSHA regulatory compliance requirements.
• Review of patient schedule ensuring accuracy.
• Reassure patients by answering questions, discussing procedures, etc.
• Ensure patient information is current, ensure all necessary forms are completed, legible, signed and scanned in EHR and/or radiation tracking system.
• Conforms to all HIPAA regulations and maintain strict patient confidentiality
• Ensures daily fees and charges are accurately captured and entered into EHR/EPM system.
• Return phone calls in a timely and pleasant manner and deal with patient and other callers' needs expeditiously.
• Follow our Code of Conduct at all times: treat peers, superiors, subordinates, patients and vendors with fairness, courtesy and professionalism and contribute to the overall positive work environment of the clinic.
• To perform other duties to support our practice as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from an approved program for Radiation Therapy.
• Licensed in the State of Arizona.
• Current BLS Certification.
• Experienced on Radiation Therapy equipment and software (such as Xoft).
• Ability to understand dosimetry plans and calculations.
• Accurately document patient treatment progress
• Ability to interact in a consistently professional and courteous manner with co-workers, patients, physicians and all others with whom contact occurs in the workplace
• Ability to properly utilize office equipment, including multi-line phones, computers and copy, fax, and other basic office equipment
• Excellent interpersonal skills..
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, patient care driven clinical environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone, and establish/maintain cooperative relationships with patients and their families, physicians, staff and other customers.
• Ability to work varying hours as needed by the clinic, including some occasional week-end hours.
