As a Radiation Therapist, you will assist in localizing tumors, participates in treatment planning, and delivers high doses of ionizing radiation prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist. A Class II Therapist consistently demonstrates a high level of professionalism skill and teamwork while providing compassionate and efficient patient care.

The Radiation Therapist is the primary liaison between patients and other members of the radiation oncology team. They also provide a link to other healthcare providers such as social workers and dietitians. The Therapist must adhere to Suburban Hospital/Johns Hopkins Medicine policies & procedures, regulatory standards set forth by JCAHO, HIPPA and other agencies, as well as policies & procedures stated in the Radiation Therapist manual.

Hours:

• Full time, 40hrs per week
• Monday - Friday. Some weekend work is required.
• 6:00a - 4:30pm

Requirements:

• Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology program. BS preferred but not required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy.
• Current MD licensure as Medical Radiation Technologist.
• Current CPR certification.
