An excellent career opportunity is currently available for a Mechanic-R&D Tech II, located at UOP's Research & Pilot Plant facility in McCook, IL.

While the job is based out of the McCook, IL facility, must be capable of working at our Des Plaines facility if the site requires support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Repair and service pumps, compressors, seals, packing and bearings to support R&D Pilot Plant and manufacturing facilities using safe work practices as defined by Honeywell.
• Work with all types of hand tools to complete repairs, preventative maintenance, and/or modifications to equipment.
• Support catalyst manufacturing plants through on call schedule and working as a team on jobs requiring more than one person.

YOU MUST HAVE

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Able to follow all established safety procedures and protocols.
Working knowledge of rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, seals, packing, and bearings.
Experience and skill working with hand tools.
Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds, work on elevated platforms as well as climb ladders and portable lifts.
Must be able to be on call up to two weeks a month.
