*Summary: *The Quality Specialist will have primary responsibilities with conformity assessment procedures and material compliance to ensure global product compliance for PSG products in many diverse regions and manufacturing environments.This position will work directly with Purchasing, Product Management and Quality as well as working closely with the Product Engineering on new product certification, regulatory compliance, and approval-related issues.Education:

Bachelor’s degree (engineering or science field would benefit but not required). Alternatively, candidates with 2 or more years of college level training in conjunction with minimum 5 years manufacturing experience will be considered.Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience reading & understanding ISO standards preferred. Experience with ISO 9001:2015 is a plus
  • In-depth experience with certifications and conformity assessment of products (CE, FDA, UKCA, USP, REACH, RoHS)
  • Proven knowledge of the legal and normative requirements for technical documentation of industrial products
  • Be well versed in the fields of European product directives and CE marking, product labelling, conformity assessment procedures and material compliance

*Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: *

  • Must have moderate to high computer competency. Understands basic computer equipment & corporate approved Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook)
  • A high level of verbal & written communication skills with clear, concise expression is essential
  • Ability to work in a structured and careful manner and can present complex issues in a comprehensible way

*Duties and Responsibilities: *

  • Provide Material, Inspection & Testing certificates for all pump brands upon request
  • Continuously maintain & monitor regulatory requirements at domestic & international levels
  • Provide input to assist the development of product manuals in compliance with legal and normative requirements
  • Assess possible changes to regulations and recommendations to mitigate and eliminate risks to the business
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned

The employee occasionally lifts up to 20 lbs., and occasionally kneels and bends.Work Environment: Works majority of the day in an office, which is a climate-controlled environment, except for occasional visits to the manufacturing floor, which is subject to moderate changes in temperature. The manufacturing environment is subject to moderate changes in temperature and the employee will be exposed to typical hazards of noise, flying debris, and overhead hazards requiring the use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).This position may also require overtime as necessary.
