We seek a results-focused, innovative, customer-centric well-qualified individual to join our talented team as a Quality Manager – Formulations. Based out of our Torrington Connecticut location, you will proactively manage the quality of adhesives (formulations) products in DNA by interacting with stakeholders to establish and manage quality requirements by ensuring manufacturing and development processes meet ISO standards, by selecting control tools and software to be utilized through raw material, in-process and finished goods inspections, by maintaining ISO 9001 compliance and developing a high-performing QA/QC team.
You will:
Develop innovative, responsive Quality Assurance and Quality Control teams by exercising strong leadership and judgment skills to acquire, develop, train, coach, cultivate, and manage talented, results-oriented, customer-advocating personnel
Drive a preventive culture – zero defects by reviewing all quality aspects from new product development (NPI) to manufacturing and aftermarket support, then by driving product and process preventative improvements. by defining and driving cross-functional teams for the completion of Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) plans effectively
Manage and lead critical customer projects by investigating and resolving non-conformances, and technical services, and establishing robust product and process validation plans utilizing advanced quality tools such as PFMEA, SPC, Gage R&R, and MSA while conforming to all applicable ISO and regulatory standards
Manage Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction through 6 sigma/lean tools by investigating customer issues, supporting customer audits and performing internal Audits, and closing audit findings effectively.
Manage risks in production processes and methodologies by promoting risk-based thinking in accordance with quality management system requirements and company direction.
Disseminate Quality awareness, adherence, and developments to stakeholders by scheduling, performing quality audits, providing feedback and reporting findings, and ensuring that ISO systems are established, maintained, and managed.
Requirements
You should have:
Bachelors in Chemistry, Material Science, science-related degree, or equivalency
5+ years’ experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
Well-organized, independent work style, intrinsically self-motivated under minimum supervision
Must be a problem-solver with attention to detail
Proven ability to inspire, develop, lead, and persuade colleagues and reports
Proven experience within Quality Assurance Management, and sound knowledge of quality assurance standards

Salary Range: $107,000-$135,000
Dymax takes the compensation of its employees very seriously and considers several factors when determining the total compensation package including but not limited to location, market range, skills, knowledge, experience, and abilities. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Dymax salary range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range. The range listed is just one component of Dymax’s total compensation packages for employees.
