KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage internal and external audits including conducting auditor training.
  • Manage system for corrective and preventive actions, including quality claims process, and supplier non-conformances.
  • Continuously assesses, promotes, and improves the effectiveness of quality and training systems in Vallourec Star through recognition of trends, investigation of failures in the execution of procedures, and direct observations.
  • Knowledge of API, ISO, and other industry specifications.
  • Responsible for Management Systems planning and sustainment.
  • Liaison for external audits and drive for closure findings.
  • Manage document control for both internal and external sources.
  • Provide indirect leadership and oversight as the QMS subject matter expert to the Vallourec Star management team and other Vallourec entities as requested.
  • Responsible for Supplier Quality Management program, including defining, analyzing, and reporting on the capabilities and performance of critical suppliers and performing as Supplier Quality Audit Team Leader as needed.
  • Provide input and outputs for the Management Review of the IMS.
  • Support instruction on employees on application of Quality principles and provides instruction on expectations and responsibilities
  • Provide North American support, training, and assistance in creating and developing strategies for the Achiever+ Software modules including supporting IT in correcting program issues as they arise, or as requested.
  • Support Human Resources in the monitor and communication of required procedure training and the Achiever+ Competency module.
  • Drive corporate CAPTEN+ Quality Program initiatives at Vallourec Star facilities.
  • Supports Claim management of Vallourec Star and provide system support along with root cause analysis reviews.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Working knowledge of quality, safety and environmental requirements and systems.
  • Demonstration of management of Quality systems
  • Demonstration of audit management internal and external
  • Excellent written and verbal skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Office Suite programs and ability to learn new programs.
  • Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability.
  • Highly motivated, willingness to dig into situations and work with all functions of the business.
  • Capable of working independently in a self-directed environment.
  • Demonstrates a significant degree of interest in career and professional growth to diversify skills and knowledge base.
  • Highly organized and able to successfully manage multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in Quality management and Operations of Industrial Sector.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, manufacturing, quality or EHS related discipline or bachelor’s degree in another discipline with quality and/or EHS experience.
  • MBA preferred.
  • Lead auditor training (API Q1, 9001, 14001, or 45001) preferred.
