QUALITY CONTROL PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE OPEN IN THOMSON, GA

Do you have Quality Control Experience in a manufacturing setting? If so, we have an open role for you. You must be able to put your math skills in place in order to perform quality tests and measurements on products or materials and support with containment activity. You will also provide input into development of documentation and procedures, and participate in continual improvement activities and support Quality Business Plans.

In addition, this roles requires support of gauge calibration, gauge repair and measuring equipment preventative maintenance program as well as:

• Perform start up checks using CMM and other quality measurement equipment
• Support containment and countermeasure activity for specific problems
• Participate in the use of 8-D, 5-P, and why-why analysis tools to countermeasure and resolve quality issues
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports
• Responsible for proposing and making continuous improvement within areas of responsibility
• Assist with 5s activities including maintenance of hold area(s)
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Basic computer skills needed
• Must be able to stand/walk/reach/climb/crawl/squat/kneel/bend throughout shift
• Must be able to hear and have 20/20 vision (corrective lenses/glasses acceptable)
• Strict adherence to PPE requirements
• Knowledge of castings and CNC machining processes preferred, but not required

Required Skills for position:

• BASIC READING, WRITING, ARITHEMETIC SKILLS REQUIRED
• MUST BE ABLE TO STAND FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME
• MUST BE ABLE TO WORK OVERTIME IF REQUIRED
• MUST WEAR STEEL TOED BOOTS; LONG SLEEVE SHIRTS; FITTING ATTIRE; NO JEWELRY

• Work will be performed in an environment with varying temperatures and weather conditions.
