Grundfos is seeking an experienced DC Quality Control Tech to join its Supply Chain team. The DC Quality Control Tech will be responsible to assist Distribution Manager in ensuring all processes and products in the Fresno Distribution Center meet all quality requirements. Execute all necessary inspections, corrective actions, and updates. This position reports directly to the DC Manager and will operate daily out of the Fresno, CA facility. This position will work on 1st shift, also have the flexibility to be available on other shifts as required. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.

What is the job about?

• Perform incoming inspections as required; act on inspection results, including coordination and execution of corrective actions (this may include supervision of temporary staff executing corrective actions)
• Initiate and bring to resolution all inbound and outbound transportation related Non-Conformance cases impacting the Fresno Distribution Center.
• Act as site contact for all Non-Conformances originating in Fresno Distribution Center.
• Assist in resolving supplier quality issues.
• Lead Material Review Board activities in the Fresno Distribution Center.
• Overall responsibility of the Quality Returns area, arranging returns with sister companies and vendors.
• Maintain all required Quality records, procedures, and files.
• Participates in quality audits, performing audits of all manufacturing and distribution processes, with recommendations to process improvements.
• Ensure calibration requirements of all calibrated tools are carried out.
• Execute FINS audits as per schedule.

What do you need to apply?

Qualified candidates will possess a High School diploma. Additionally working towards an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, preferred.

• Knowledge of Grundfos Quality system, prior quality function experience is preferred.
• Experience using personal computers, Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and SAP.
• Excellent communication skills, in communication upwards, downwards, and laterally.
• Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Problem-solver: find support/assistance outside the Allentown facility.
• Work independently as necessary.
• Ability to operate powered industrial equipment, such as a reach truck, and ability to attain fork lift certification.

The midpoint of the pay range for this position is $30.14 per hour. Actual pay will depend on skill set, experience, and location.
