Overview of Position:

Bridor USA’s Vineland New Jersey Plant is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician who will be responsible for maintaining the quality standards in the development of our high quality products. You will go throughout the plant to ensure the operators are performing the appropriate sanitation and quality checks per company policy and procedure. This position will reports into the Quality Supervisor & Manager

• Ensure that production follows standard procedures (SOP) established
• Make sure that finished products comply quality specs and meet customer standards
• Ensure food safety and inform his supervisor of any issue related to that

What will be my duties and responsibilities in this job?

• Conduct GMP, allergen, CCP, internal audits to identify deviations and report to production team for corrective actions and follow up
• Review process documents to verify compliance vs specification and SOPs (standard of procedures)
• Conduct Finished products cases inspections on the line to SOP
• Conduct inspection of finished products at the warehouse (return from customers, etc.)
• Daily review of statistical data on Minitab, paperless and follow up with production team
• Calibration of laboratory tools and production scales & thermometers
• Responsible for issuing tools such as thermometers/blades/caliper according to procedure
• Responsible of assisting production in the HOLD / Rework process
• Responsible glass & plastic audit and Knife
• Train on MD and Minitab
• Take samples for microbiological and conduct allergens testing
• Provide training to the employees on the plant floor on the Quality policies and procedures
• Take care of re-training employees on ispring system following failures
• Help create, Validate and update products Conformity guides and improve them
• Other tasks requested by QA supervisor and or QA Manager

What re the requirements needed for his position?

• High school diploma or GED required
• 3 to 5 years experience preferably in the food production industry
• Must be able to understand, speak and write English and Spanish (English is required)
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to respectfully work with different departments
• Ability to present results
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excel, Word, Ipad and regular computers
• Math and Writing skills

What other skills/experience would be helpful to have?

• Ability to speak and write Spanish would be a plus
• Knowledge of the bakery, cooking methods
• Skill with statistical analyses and knowledge of software minitabs statistics

What are the working conditions and physical requirements of this job?

• Physical requirements required for production environment
• Bending and lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally
• Availability to work Monday - Friday either 1st shift, 2nd shift or 3rd shift
