RRD Packaging Solutions Durham is a leading packaging and trading card company in North America, producing educational and healthcare products, as well as collectible trading cards associated with the entertainment and sports industries.

Overview:

Responsible for working with Production, Sales, Support Services and management representatives to facilitate ongoing quality improvement activities in support of the Company’s goals and customer quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Ensures that appropriate quality controls are in place to conform and comply with ISO operating standards as well as OTC pharmaceutical
• Implement and maintain quality systems and programs to ensure compliance with internal and customer defined quality standard requirements
• Support continuous improvement efforts by providing leadership, knowledge, and energy to strengthen the plant CI culture and performance
• Ensure product consistency by developing and maintaining an effective process control system that includes writing and conducting product and process capability studies for new equipment and purchased raw materials and finished products
• Identify critical process issues/concerns and implement appropriate monitoring where applicable. Take the necessary corrective action in a timely, efficient and supportive manner conferring with other employees as necessary to achieve optimum resolutions whenever and wherever necessary
• Develop and maintain all ISO operating standards

Skills and Experience:

• Previous experience with New Product Introduction (NPI) and Customer on-boarding
• Proven ability to establish and maintain relationships with strategic suppliers, drive key initiatives and continuous quality improvement
• Experience with intellectual property control and confidentiality systems preferred, not required
• Black Belt preferred, not required
• Experience with color management preferred, not required
• Packaging and/or printing process knowledge preferred, not required
