Quality Assurance Engineer

The GSX team builds and delivers solutions that change how the enterprise IoT and telematic solution providers consume data to develop actionable business insights for their customers.

GeoSensorX products include plug and play devices designed for delivering real-time connectivity and insights to software platforms and application solution providers (ASPs). The GSX product portfolio includes cellular connected gateways designed for capturing data from CAN-bus systems, GPS technology, plug and play, and wireless sensors, video streams from proprietary GSX machine-vision algorithms using AI and machine learning. Using the latest wireless technologies, this data is then made available through easy to consume APIs from the GeoSensorX cloud for easy integration into third party applications.

Responsibilities:

A Quality Assurance Engineer at GeoSensorX will take a project from concept through production. Some key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with Product and Engineering to define product quality goals and improve test coverage
• Rapidly identifying, characterizing, and triaging reported bugs with Engineering
• Running functional, integration, and other real world tests of mobile app, cloud app, and hardware devices
• Developing test plans, procedures, and processes for continually improving quality
• Building tools to automate testing and increase our release velocity

Skills & Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field, Computer Science coursework preferred
• 1-2 years of industry experience in Quality Assurance, Technical Support, or similar position, preferably startup experience
• Strong technical understanding of distributed systems, ability to learn quickly and establish credibility with engineers
• Bias-to-action, you're not afraid to get your hands dirty
• Strong communication skills, comfortable working with teams from diverse backgrounds
• Experience with testing methodologies and automation is a plus
