Job Title: QC/QA Inspection, Test and Assembly Technician
FLSA: Non-Exempt
Hourly Pay Range: $31.00 to $36.00 depending on experience level

Essential Duties:

• Conduct visual inspection procedures on semiconductor die, wafers, and modules in accordance with training and documented procedures
• Perform functional electrical and optical tests in accordance with training and documented procedures
• Perform assembly operations in accordance with training and documented procedures
• Create and maintain procedural documents during and after training
• Prepare product for shipment, receiving product from vendors and contract manufacturers
• Log data and record observations during process execution
• Work with small material using tweezers, vacuum wands, etc.
• Update manufacturing execution system as parts move through processing
• Maintain inventory of required materials/consumables and place orders for replacements as needed
• Learn and follow safety, ESD, and clean room procedures

Basic Qualifications:

• 5+ years of previous experience working as QC/QA technician, manufacturing environment
• Prior experience working a production environment and with production/test equipment
• Comfort with technical operation of equipment in accordance with written instructions
• Ability to read, understand, and follow technical directions in English, e.g. instrument manuals or assembly instructions
• Ability to communication clearly, verbally and written
• Have proficiency with common computer applications such as spreadsheets and document editors
• Assembly of mechanical parts
• Maintain a well-organized work environment
• Occasionally move equipment, up to 40 lbs, between racks, benches, carts, etc
• Pay careful attention to detail and ability to maintain focus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior semiconductor production environment
• Experience working with electronics or photonics parts assembly and test

Operators must work on-site. Ayar Labs maintains strict COVID safety policies that meet or exceed requirements posted by local government health offices. Operators work within the Electronics Lab, the Laser Lab, and our Class 1000 clean room. Shifts are 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday; timing is flexible.
