Psychiatric Registered Nurse / Behavioral Health RN Job at Allegiance Home Health and Rehab
Job Description
We are looking for RNs to provide top quality care to patients in a home setting. Our RNs will be part of an amazing interdisciplinary team that work together to maximize the potential of each patient.
The ideal candidate has a valid RN license, 1 year of experience in Behavioral Health and/or as a Psych RN, a certificate in Psychiatric nursing, current certification in CPR, and Home Health experience. In addition, candidates must have a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance and must provide proof of the required health/background checks.
Responsibilities
- Conducts initial and ongoing assessments of the client's needs
- Completes starts-of-care, resumptions-of-care, resumptions of care, rec-certifications, and discharges OASIS
- Participates in establishing and maintaining the plan of care
- Communicates with physicians, case managers, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
- Educates patients and caregivers and ensures that all safety and infection control practices are followed
- Observes and reports any changes in the client's mental, physical, or emotional condition or home situation to immediate supervisor/MD
- Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- COMPASSION and a DESIRE TO HELP the elderly, the sick, and their families
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 1 year of Behavioral Health/Psych RN experience required and certification
- Home Health experience preferred
- Basic computer skills and the ability to document on current EMR system
- Current CPR Card from the American Heart Association
- Certificate from an Alzheimer’s 2-hour course
- Certificate from an HIV/AIDS 4-hour course
- Level 2 background check required
- Health Assessment Done within last 6 months (TB within 1 year)
- Reliable transportation and valid automobile insurance
- Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record
