Mental Health Services (MHS), is a community based mental and behavioral health agency located in the heart of Springfield. MHS serves the Clark and Madison County area with Outpatient Services, Adolescent & Youth Services, and a 16-bed Acute Care In-Patient Unit, open 24 hours, located inside our Main Building on N. Yellow Springs Street. Our Madison County office is conveniently located in London, OH at the Madison County Hospital.
This position works in the out-patient clinic, providing nursing services to clients in need, supporting our providers at both BHR, in the main building and in the community. Some travel to Madison may also be required for coverage as needed. This position supports the providers working in the out-patent clinic on a regular basis, and will provide clients with education, med boxes, monitors the med-line for providers and helps with daily outpatient dr. clients This is a fulltime, Monday-Friday position, working 40 hours per week. There may be some times that fluctuate due to patient/client needs.
This position requires you to be either a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the state of Ohio.
Candidates must have:
- OH RN or LPN license, active and valid
- 1 year of behavioral or mental health experience as a nurse preferred
- Prior Community based nursing or similar environment preferred.
- Valid Ohio Drivers License and ability to be insured by insurance/liability insurance
- CPR
- NVCI (CPI) provided upon hire are both required and will be provided at hire if needed.
In complying with CMS conditions of participation, all MHS employees are required to be fully vaccinated against Covid-19.
MHS provides CPR/First Aid and NVCI (CPI Blue) for all new staff, along with on-going education and on-the-job training opportunities.
All MHS candidates are required to have an Ohio BCI check (FBI check required if you have lived in Ohio for less than 5 years, or for working with children), 5-panel drug screen and 2 step TB (or proof of prior TB) upon conditional offer of employment.
