We are currently seeking applicants for the following position:
Position: PSV Technician
Location: Troy, PA
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Maintain total awareness of customer and company policy, regulations, and procedures.
- Perform field work and must demonstrate the proficient performance of all valve repair procedures.
- Knowledge of ASME, NBIC and API codes
- Service API/ANSI/other valves per customer & valve specifications.
- Must be able to pass drug screen, criminal background check and have a good driving record.
- Ability to teach/mentor apprentice-level employees to become leads
- Adhere to company safety policies (Job Safety Analysis, Critical Job Reviews, safety observation, etc.) and procedures.
- Conduct safety meetings with the work crew.
- Complete all paperwork and reports as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Proven ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Proven ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- VR & NBIC regulation understanding
- Service API/ANSI/other valves per customer & valve specifications.
Qualifications:
- NBBI VR Certificate
- Minimum of one year of experience conducting valve repair, testing, reconditioning, or modification
Education:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Associates degree or technical school degree preferred
- Preferred college vocation training with emphasis in the technical field
