Job Title: PMI Service Technician / WRS
Reports to: Group Administrator
Directed by: Control Room, Group Administrator
Essential Functions and tasks:
1. Performs Property Maintenance & Improvements (PMI) per protocols not limited to; buildings and yard maintenance, vegetation control, fences, access roads, and general facility infrastructure on locations as directed.
2. Performs Sampling, Operation and Maintenance and Light Repair jobs as directed per protocols.
3. Complies with Equipment Down Protocol when duty calls.
4. Performs Utility line markings and tap-in inspections
5. Safely operate company vehicle while towing enclosed PMI trailer
6. Cleaning and Maintenance of Vehicle, Trailer and Equipment as needed.
7. Properly operating vegetation equipment which may include tractor (with rotary cutter), riding lawnmower, push mower, grass trimmer, pressure washer, sprayer, blower, and rented equipment when needed.
8. Independently working while following verbal and written instructions.
9. Wears Company issued PPE as directed.
10.Completes work orders thoroughly and accurately at each location.
11.Taking required pictures and downloading to service program.
12.Follows all STAT safety and personnel policies and procedures.
Non-Essential Functions:
1. Completes all other duties assigned, as directed by supervisor and management.
2. Adheres to building and yard maintenance protocols and schedules.
3. Willingness to do repetitive, work.
4. Time-management skills and the ability to track time properly.
Working Conditions:
1. Scheduled days cover Monday thru Friday.
2. Weekends and holidays as required.
3. Will be required to perform independent work at remote locations other than at this facility.
4. Works in all types of weather conditions.
5. Must have valid driver’s license with no citations that would keep our insurance company from providing you with coverage. Will also be pulling a trailer to haul equipment/supplies to work site, with a company vehicle.
6. Subject to inside and outside environmental conditions.
7. Subject to electrical and mechanical hazards, ultraviolet light, and vibration, noise, and temperature changes.
8. Also present in the environment are fumes, smoke, dust, gases, chemicals, and hydrocarbons.
9. Climbing of Ladders and/or Stairs is a job requirement.
Educational and Vocational Requirements:
1. Must be able to read and write alphabetically and numerically.
2. Must always have a valid Louisiana Driver’s License in his/her possession.
3. Verifiable experience in working independently and being a self-starter.
Physical Classification of the Job:
1. Repetitive sequences that require sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, finger manipulation, climbing, feeling, seeing, hearing, and speaking.
2. This position is classified as Heavy work - exerting up to 50-100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly (Constantly: activity or condition exists 2/3 or more of the time) to move objects.
3. Physical demand requirements are more than those for Sedentary Work. Even though the weight lifted may be only a negligible amount, a job should be rated Heavy Work: (1) when it requires walking or standing to a significant degree; or (2) when it requires sitting most of the time but entails pushing and/or pulling of arm or leg controls; and /or (3) when the job requires working at a production rate pace entailing the constant pushing and/or pulling of materials even though the weight of those materials is sometimes negligible. Note: The constant stress and strain of maintaining a production rate pace, especially in an industrial setting, can be and is physically demanding of a worker even though the amount of force exerted is negligible.
All the STAT Group positions may be required to undergo testing for knowledge of equipment, terminology, and responsibilities. All positions may also be given the STAT Group’s personality profile assessment. Positions will be evaluated weekly for a minimum of three (3) months, while under probationary period. Probationary period may be extended if employee has not met minimum standards of acceptability such as attendance, quality, job knowledge and/or behavioral. Extension can go up to six (6) months, but no longer. The STAT Group cannot have probationary statuses that are never ending. If an employee still cannot meet minimum standards after this time, the person will have failed the probationary time for that position and terminated.
