Project Manager – Navy Programs

Required Education:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in an Engineering, Scientific or Technical discipline preferred. Management discipline may be substituted upon approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Ability to lead and manage staff, providing day-to-day direction and guidance
  • Provide annual evaluations to staff based on a set of criteria for technical, behavioral and communications performance
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal – in order to communicate effectively with the customer and provide project status updates
  • Ability to motivate staff to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines
  • Possesses a “can do” outlook and will roll up sleeves and help when necessary
  • A member of a working and family-oriented team
  • Goal oriented and disciplined to meet project and program objectives
  • Wicked on excel programs, word documents, powerpoint presentations and can maneuver spreadsheets like a champion
  • Other duties as assigned

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in offshore deck operations such as launch and recovery of moored and seafloor mounted systems;
  • Minimum of five (5) years experience in dock operations such as weight handling, ship mobilization, and ship demobilization.

Desired qualifications:

  • Navy or Marine Corps experience
  • Experience supervising and directing offshore operations, load handling, launch and recovery operations, and oversee the safety of deck operations.
  • Experience supervising and managing shore-side workers, equipment repair and maintenance schedules, equipment fabrication schedules, and deck load out schedules.

Physical Demands



Able to move heavier objects such as computers and other office equipment or dock equipment. Can work in a warehouse environment or on a boat, as may be required. Light office duties which may include sitting for prolonged periods of time, viewing digital screens for prolonged periods of time, lifting up to 10 pounds, use of a desk or mobile phone, typing on a keyboard, writing with a pen, pencil, or stylus, etc.



Mental Demands



May include written and oral communication and comprehension skills; data interpretation skills; analytical and problem-solving skills; basic mathematical reasoning; basic computer skills, and the ability to understand, remember, and carry out detailed instructions.




Compensation

Depends on experience; W2 includes benefits such as health/dental/vision/life, PTO, federal holidays, charity days, and more
