If you share our passion for creating an airline people love, we want to hear from you.</p> <p><strong>Role Summary</strong></p> <p>The Project Manager independently provides project management support for small and or medium company projects that involve coordination between various groups both within divisions as well as across divisions at Alaska Airlines. The position contributes to the success of Alaska Airlines by managing projects in accordance with established processes and procedures.</p> <p><strong>Key Duties</strong></p> <ul> <li>In the intermediate level (Professional 3), as a subject matter expert in project management, you will apply deep knowledge and use considerable judgement to determine the approach to ambiguous challenges, make decisions and influence across the company.</li> <li>In the senior level (Advanced Professional 1), as a subject matter expert in driving the execution and successful delivery of large and/or complex projects and in accordance with established standards and best practices. And defines the long-term strategy for managing projects to design, develop, and implement new systems and process improvements.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job-Specific Experience, Education & Skills</strong></p> <p><strong>Intermediate Level (Professional 3)</strong></p> <p><strong>Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>4 years of experience in project/change management.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.</li> <li>Demonstrated aptitude to independently manage projects and manage multiple objectives/tasks.</li> <li>Demonstrated ability to positively influence project outcomes using analytical approach and instilling a sense of urgency in the project team to complete work on time.</li> <li>Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.</li> <li>Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology groups.</li> <li>Proven success leading project efforts to completion.</li> <li>Ability to identify problems and collaboratively develop alternatives for resolution.</li> <li>High school diploma or equivalent.</li> <li>Minimum age of 18.</li> <li>Must be authorized to work in the U.S.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred</strong></p> <ul> <li>Demonstrated knowledge to define and develop People Change Management / Business Readiness plans for projects.</li> <li>PMP certification or desire to obtain PMP certification.</li> <li>Experience with MSFT Teams and SharePoint.</li> <li>Experience with Smartsheet, MS Project, MS Teams or other schedule management and collaboration tools.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Senior Level (Advanced Professional 1)</strong></p> <p><strong>Required</strong></p> <ul> <li>7 years of experience as a project/program manager, business analysis experience or related area.</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree, or an additional two years of relevant training/experience in lieu of this degree.</li> <li>Hands on experience in project management, including all elements of scope, schedule, budget, risk evaluation, issue resolution, quality, integration, staffing, and communications.</li> <li>Experience leading projects that directly affect multiple organizations, departments and/or entire company, including projects involving process improvement principles and technology integration.</li> <li>Ability to:</li> <li>Find solutions to complex issues that incorporate a variety of user's needs.</li> <li>Alternate between strategic, tactical and operational perspectives while working in projects to quickly determine long, medium and short impact of solutions proposed.</li> <li>Quickly grasp new concepts and technologies and adapt to changes and demands.</li> <li>Manage multiple, competing objectives and tasks.</li> <li>Experience in facilitating the creation of project metrics and establishing a method of tracking.</li> <li>Demonstrated team lead experience.</li> <li>High school diploma or equivalent is required.</li> <li>Minimum age of 18.</li> <li>Must be authorized to work in the U.S.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Preferred</strong></p> <ul> <li>At least 2 years developing and managing test plans.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Job-Specific Leadership Expectations</strong></p> <p>Embody our values to own safety, do the right thing, be kind-hearted, deliver performance, and be remarkable.</p> <p><strong>Salary Range</strong></p> <p>$89,200 - $169,600 / year</p> <p><strong>Pay Details</strong></p> <p>Professional 3: $89,200 - 133,800</p> <p>Advanced professional 1: $106,000 - 169,600</p> <p><strong>Salary Details</strong></p> <p>Pay will be based on multiple factors,includingand not limited to relevant experience/level, level of the role and skillset while balancing internal equity relative to other Alaska/Horizon employees.
