Position Summary

AFA Project Managers are responsible for working with Installation Managers, Contractors, and Engineered Systems Sales Specialists to support the installation of Fire Alarm systems.

Position Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform pre-sales or post-award engineering assessments to provide our sales force with the most cost-effective solution for both material and labor.
• Prepare submittals and permitting documents as well as O&M Manuals and As-Builts upon job completion.
• Travel to project sites as needed to determine project status, scope, schedule and attend job meetings.

• Communicating with executives or the board to keep the project aligned with their goals

• Making effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
• Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or related experience
• 5+ years of experience with fire alarm system project management

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of NFPA 72, NEC, OSHA Requirements and industry standards required.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Knowledgeable with AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, and MS Outlook.
• Proficient in reading and understanding construction drawings.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• NICET II Certification a plus.
• Experience in installing fire alarm systems.

Covid-19 Vaccination required for certain roles.
