Job Description
Reports to the Director of Innovation and acts as business coach with responsibility in entrepreneurial training, business development, and technology grant management. Responsible for guiding business creation business training. Regularly exercises discretion and independent judgment on compliance issues while providing direct services to disadvantaged and regional technology-based entrepreneurs. Works collaboratively with Economic Development Partners.
Job Duties
  • Assess and Develops non-tech and tech-based entrepreneurs both within and externally to the ministry
  • Tracks grant supported projects and activities to funders
  • Markets and Trains existing and prospective entrepreneurs
  • Research and advise on patentability, coordinate with legal resources for development of ministry patents
  • Collaborate / Advise on methods to serve clients
  • Proficient in all MS Office tools, Salesforce, GrowthWheel
  • Experience in creating and reviewing business plans
  • Experience in creating and reviewing financial projections
  • Assist clients with digital marketing (LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate information funder’s database
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, Communications, Business Administration or other related healthcare or business field.
  • 1-3 years of prior work experience in business management, healthcare industry preferred, but not required.
