Project Coordinator Job at S & C Electric Company

The Project Coordinator position in IT’s Project Management Organization (PMO) provides day to day support for the Rapid Deployment Initiatives (RDI) done by IT. The initiatives are smaller projects such as software and hardware installations and configurations. Typical job functions will be maintaining the initiatives in Microsoft Project Server as well as managing the deliverables, resources, timelines and status reports. You will work with team members throughout the organization to ensure the successful conclusion of the initiatives.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Creation, amending, and/or changing new and existing initiatives in Microsoft Project Server
  • Assistance with monitoring and management of project expenditures
  • Working with Team Members to ensure all work is covered and complete
  • Estimate RDI timelines and maintain the timelines in Microsoft Project Server
  • Work with the Cybersecurity team to ensure the incitive meets cyber requirements
  • Work with suppliers and consultants to ensure project deliverables are realized
  • Meet weekly with team members to get updates on progress and help them overcome obstacles
  • Update and maintain the IT PMO SharePoint intranet site
  • Perform special projects and other assignments as directed by management

To select this job as one of interest to you, at a minimum, you must have the following:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Computer Science, Business, or related field or equivalent experience.
  • 1+ year experience in IT projects
  • PMP certification is desired

Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including SharePoint and Microsoft Projects.
  • Impeccable communication and interpersonal skills, and a willingness to work as a team and undertake challenges.
  • Process improvement experience including the ability to create / update new or existing processes.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
  • Experience gathering and reporting on items such as project expenses and project status.

Major Physical Demands

  • Handling: Frequent use of a computer keyboard and mouse.
  • Environment: Work performed in a regular office environment within a manufacturing facility, remove office locations or home office.
