Job Description:

Crowe is seeking senior government consultants with five years of management consulting experience for project management of business and IT analyst work in our Sacramento, CA office. The candidate will help clients analyze and solve business issues, maximize technology investments through supporting IT procurement and implementation, and mitigate risks and issues.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage project team, including overseeing team efforts and supporting client project management of IT projects
  • Oversees the execution of activities in the agreement, including defining solutions to meet client needs, addressing critical issues and business challenges, analyzing business processes, and developing improvement recommendations
  • Research and analyze background documents, program issues, and best practices
  • Interview and facilitate meetings with client staff and stakeholders
  • Document workload, staffing, technology systems, and costs
  • Prepare written documents and presentations, including project management plan development, executive communications, etc.
  • Prepare and present findings and recommendations.
  • Oversee business analyst teams in process analysis
  • Lead business development activities and written proposals
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients
  • This position requires minimal travel

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • PMI-Professional Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Five (5) or more years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible Project Manager project experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity
  • Consulting experience, ideally with public sector clients
  • Business process analysis experience
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills
  • A track record of producing high-quality work products on-time and within budget
  • Ability to be flexible and to learn quickly about different client programs
  • Ability to work independently and support the project team
  • The applicant must be proficient with Microsoft Office software (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Project)
  • Ability to work closely with other team members to drive project results
  • Solid project planning and management skills
  • Understands business process concepts and principles.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree (preferably in Business, Economics, Information Technology, or Public Administration) Certified Business Analyst Professional (CBAP) Certification, or PMI-Professional Business Analyst (PBA) certification
  • California Department of Technology PAL (Project Approval Lifecycle) experience
  • Consulting experience specifically with public sector clients in California

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Crowe, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $108,800 to $163,200.
