Specialist, ASAPconnect
Hybrid in Sacramento, ~1 day/week in person, ~10% travel required
The Foundation for California Community Colleges is on a mission to double its impact in the next 10 years. We are seeking a Specialist to join the Foundation in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation.
What You’ll Do
ASAPconnect is a fiscally sponsored project of the Foundation for California Community Colleges (the Foundation) as of Summer, 2022. In partnership with the Foundation, ASAPconnect is well-positioned to ensure children and youth benefit from high-quality out-of-school time learning and enrichment opportunities, resulting in positive developmental, academic, and wellness outcomes and increased readiness for college, career, and civic life.
Under the supervision of ASAPconnect’s Director of Program Operations, the Specialist supports key functions related to operations, including but not limited to driving correspondence with the School of Leadership & Facilitation and BOLD learning cohorts, providing information to new SSEL members, coordinating some of the logistics for in-person meetings, managing calendars and travel arrangements, supporting contract reporting, and completing other projects and tasks as assigned.
What You Bring
- Assist with project management and ongoing correspondence with the School of Leadership & Facilitation and BOLD learning cohorts.
- Help drive logistics of in-person convenings.
- Track and document some of the information needed for contract and grant reporting.
- Provide CliftonStrengths codes and reports to the School of Leadership & Facilitation and BOLD learning cohorts.
- Plan and secure travel arrangements for staff.
- Coordinate staff calendars and schedule meetings as needed.
- Support staff with expense tracking and reporting, as needed.
- Support invoicing and budget expenditures as needed.
- Correspond with subcontractors as needed.
- Contribute to team effort by completing other projects and tasks as assigned.
- Resolve issues as needed.

- Proven ability to provide proactive and transparent communication to other staff about work and projects.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities including planning and task facilitation.
- Knowledge of, or eagerness to learn about, the system of expanded learning in California.
