CYBERSECURITY Program Manager - SHAW AFB, SC

This requirement is for Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization (A&A) support services for Information Systems (IS) within the USAFCENT Authorizing Official (AO) boundary using Department of Defense (DoD/ and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Risk Management Framework guidelines. This supports the AFCENT/A6O mission.

Responsibilities:

  • Shall assist AFCENT Information System Security Manager with oversight of the cybersecurity program for AFCENT information systems or networks, including managing information security implications within the organization, specific program, or other area of responsibility, to include strategic, personnel, infrastructure, requirements, policy enforcement, emergency planning, security awareness, and other resources.
  • Enforce all DoD IS, Platform-IT system, and software application cybersecurity policies and procedures, as defined by cybersecurity-related documentation.
  • Ensure that all DoD IS cybersecurity-related documentation is current and accessible to properly authorized individuals
  • Develop recommendations for program and system specific cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Assist with informal on-the-job training of rotational AFCENT military customers on cybersecurity requirements and USAF/DoD specific policies and procedures.
  • Assist in review of all proposed system or software application changes against DOD/USAF and the latest NIST standards.
  • Provide technical assistance for network administrative staff.
  • Establish data ownership and responsibilities (including accountability, access, and special handling requirements) for each Information System (IS) and software application.
  • Complete monthly account audits, and review and analyze system audit logs.
  • Review ports, protocols, and services (PPS).
  • Ensure implementation of periodic security inspections, assessments, tests, and reviews.
  • Execute vulnerability assessments scans and analyze and interpret vulnerability assessment results.
  • Participate in AFCENT staff assistance and compliance visits.
  • Assist system program managers with maintaining Plans of Action and Milestones documentation for any non-compliant security controls.
  • Conduct Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) Compliance assessments.
  • Provide input and recommendations to AFCENT personnel for all management, operational and technical controls
  • Provide DoD/NIST RMF Operations Support and common administrative support IAW paragraph 3.2 (including subparagraphs).

Required Education & Qualifications:

  • MA/MS in related field AND 5 years of relevant experience OR BS in related field AND 7 years of relevant experience; OR 10 or more years' of IT experience including IT operations/services management experience.

Required Certifications:

  • 8570 Certification: IAM III (CISM, CISSP (or Associate), GSLC, or CCISO
