JOB SUMMARY: MCSG Technologies is seeking a Program Administrator to support the SPACE FLAG (SF)/Advanced Training (AT) team at Schriever SFB, CO. SF is a mission planning exercise designed to prepare tactical-level space operators to execute operations in a realistic contested, degraded, and operationally limited (CDO) environment against a thinking and determined adversary. This USSF-sponsored exercise focuses on the space domain, rather providing space services to others. The Program Administrator authors, edits, manages, and publishes a variety of products and documentation across multiple platforms for the SF/AT team.


PRIMARY DUTIES:

  • Ensures delivery of 392d Combat Training Squadron (CTS) SF/AT message and content is consistent with USSF and STARCOM guidance across multiple documents, forums, and platforms
  • Identifies gaps and shortfalls in SF/AT communication processes and procedures and proposes solutions to overcome identified deficiencies
  • Liaises with non-technical personnel for SF exercises (protocol, PA, facility, vendor hosts, etc.)
  • Writes, edits, manages, and publishes SF/AT documentation including, but limited to, Concepts of Operation (CONOPS), requirements documentation, and technical articles for publication in USSF and Joint forums
  • Manages the SF/AT SharePoint sites across multiple platforms
  • Maintains archival records for easy reference and future use
  • Assists with organizing meetings (scheduling, sending reminders, etc.)
  • Prepares event-related documents (e.g., trip reports, exercise planning and execution products, after-action reports, lessons learned, meeting minutes) according to contract deliverable timelines
  • Provides assistance to SF/AT planning conferences, coordination meetings, training events, etc.
  • Captures, analyzes, and reports observations and lessons learned identified during the design, planning, and execution of SF exercises and AT events
  • Supports hot wash debriefs and after action report content development after each SF/AT event
  • Provides accurate and timely responses to 392 CTS tasks and coordinates responses in accordance with command policies and procedures
  • Carries out other tasks that may be required to ensure success of SF/AT


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Possess a foundational understanding of space environment to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Must have good interpersonal and team skills to work effectively with existing team members, government customers, and outside agencies
  • Excellent writing and communication skills with the ability to focus on building customer relationships
  • Able to write, rewrite, and/or edit official documents to communicate clearly, effectively and persuasively to a wide range of audiences
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to meet strict deadlines, prioritize work, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint, and Outlook)
  • Position requires limited traveL


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Technical Communication, Journalism, English, or a technical discipline
  • Five or more years of writing official documentation, USSF requirements, or Combatant Commander (CCMD) operational documents
  • Experience in publications processes and editorial standards
  • SharePoint administrator skills and experience
  • Aptitude to gather diverse and sometimes opposing stakeholders to work collaboratively to solve complex problems across multiple Space Deltas, Field Commands, and outside agencies
  • Possess strong leadership, negotiation, time management, organizational, problem solving, risk analysis, and team building skills
  • Familiarity of USSF command structure, missions, programs, and organizational relationships
  • Working knowledge of various style guides used in development of USSF documents (The Tongue and Quill, The Chicago Manual of Style, etc.)


RELEVANT EXPERIENCE: Five years of experience working as an administrative/executive assistant with a military organization (preferably SpOC, STARCOM, or other USSF), or experience organizing large conferences for organizations associated with military participants


EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Eight (8) additional years of directly relevant experience may be substituted for this requirement.
