Production Operative- (Part Time) Job at RED DOT CORPORATION
Red Dot Corporation, a global leading manufacturer of premium mobile HVAC units and components for heavy-duty commercial and military vehicles, is currently recruiting for a Production Operative (Part Time) in our Tukwila, Washington facility.

*Red Dot Corporation will be moving its facility from Tukwila, WA to Puyallup, WA in January 2023*
Summary Description:
Under general supervision and direction of the Area Team Leader, have the ability to work in assigned work centers/area. The work centers can vary from: CORE, Laser/Turret, Powder Coat, Tube Fab, Plastics, Assembly, etc., based on company need.
Part Time Schedule:
This position is flexible in both hours worked and schedule. We do ask that you be able to work at least 20 hours minimum and that the max hours for this position do not exceed 29 hours. We also ask that you work consecutive days. Below are some examples of approved schedules:
- M – W, 6:30 AM to 3:15 PM (45 minute lunch included, 24 hour work week)
- M – Th or Fri, 6:30 AM to 11:30 AM (20 or 25 hour work week)
- M – Th or Fri, 12:15 PM to 5:15 PM (20 or 25 hour work week)
Please note that these are examples of approved work schedules and that we are flexible in other options as long as they adhere to the above guidelines. This position may qualify to be converted to full-time depending on performance and company needs.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
- Completes tasks associated with Assembly or Fabrication job descriptions as assigned.
- Exercise care of all tools, machines and equipment through proper use and storage.
- Maintains clean work area, including daily sweeping of floors, racking of tools, dies, guides and related equipment. 5S responsibilities.
- With training and guidance, have the ability to build product to the specified rate.
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Ability to be cross trained and work in other areas as assigned.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Act as an ambassador and project a “good company image” at all times maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach.
- Is knowledgeable of company policies and quality procedures.
- Ensures all areas are maintained in accordance with company policy, state, federal and regulating entities.
- Is aware of and actively supports the achievement of departmental goals. Implement new company initiatives as assigned.
- Provide internal and on-site customer support and problem solving as a work product/services expert. Make recommendations to management regarding solutions.
- Able to work effectively both individually and in a team with minimal supervision; able to make decisions using own initiative based on company policy and regulating entities. Give regular updates to direct supervisor regarding progress and non-routine occurrences that may disrupt work schedule.
- Ensure knowledge of the appropriate safety, security and environmental revisions. Handle relevant equipment with care, being concerned with safety and security. Immediately report safety concerns to Supervisor/Lead.
- Ensure a professional appearance, use professional verbiage and maintain appropriate body language.
- Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume regulated environment applying strong attention to detail.
- Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot, problem-solve and effectively and efficiently make decisions.
- Strong communication skills with external and internal personnel to include:
o Active listening skills; ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.
o Ability to clearly explain technical subjects to internal and external personnel.

Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience
- Ability to access data on a computer and accurately enter information required
- Able to interpret blueprints method sheets and standard work
- Able to communicate and manage work priorities and proper work practices effectively

The employee is frequently required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Must have the ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time, up to 5 - 10 hours per day
- The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Sufficient manual dexterity and motor control to use common drafting implements and calculators.
