Production Control Coordinator Job at Pursuit Boats
Summary:Development and maintain the Pursuit Production Control schedule for all direct manufacturing departments. Schedule, release, and close operating system jobs to track direct material costs for each boat. Develop the BOM for new models. Maintain the BOM and routings for all boats released into production. Develop and maintain Manufacturing Plan for all boat models. Participate in the corrective action system. Participate in determining model year pricing.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Break down the Annual Forecast into a weekly schedule to meet the Company financial goals.
· Coordinate the development and maintenance of the Weekly Production Schedule with Sales and all direct and indirect Manufacturing departments.
·Communicate Departmental Schedule weekly to each direct manufacturing area.
· Facilitate the generation, releasing, and closing of Job Orders in Syteline.
·Facilitate updating the Product Configurator for the Sales Order Entry and Material Control departments.
·Set up and maintain the Unique Parts List for Vendor and In House parts for new model development.
·Set up the structure and develop the BOM for new model integration. Report on progress and accuracy to the Engineering Cost model weekly in the Engineering morning meeting.
·Facilitate the development and maintenance of the Manufacturing Plan for new models and those released into production.
·Maintain departmental labor standards for all models based on Manufacturing Plan updates. Update Utilization Table data to match the Manufacturing Plan.
·Participate in the CAR (corrective action) system to permanently resolve issues. \
· Participate in updating the BOM and work instructions for ECN’s generated through the CAR system.
· Participate in maintain the BOM for boat models released to Production.
·Maintain Boat and Option pricing for upcoming model year and mid-year price increases.
·Other duties may be assigned.
Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience in a Manufacturing, Engineering, Materials Purchasing or Production Control role in the marine industry, or similar experience.
· Proficient in developing a production schedule. Proven record of completing projects on time.
· Solid analytical skills and the ability to solve and help others resolve problems. · Must be proficient in the use of computers and use of company-wide software programs.
·Must possess strong interpersonal communication skills.
