Product Testing Supervisor Job at Confidential
JOB SUMMARY
The Product Test Supervisor is responsible for daily operations of the testing functions including inspecting, testing, wiping, and loading MacBook’s and/or phones that are both incoming returns and newly purchased stock. Supervisory responsibilities include selection, training employees, assigning daily work, moving personnel around as priorities change, conducting performance appraisals, addressing performance issues, and resolving problems.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Develop Team. Responsible for participating in selection, training, continual coaching, addressing performance issues and formal performance appraisal for the team.
- Supervise Team. Coordinating daily work and supervising testing. Conduct daily meetings to communicate status and coordinate workflow.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they occur.
- Maximize productivity of work team by creating a diverse group, well trained on multiple tasks, and moving them continually as priorities and work volumes dictate.
- Process each unit through testing protocol while recording their findings.
- Completed units are moved to the RMA department or the Receiving department to be further sorted and processed.
- Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area with an end-of-day clean up that includes wiping desk, sweeping and discarding trash.
- Comply with 5S workstation organizational standards.
- Must support and abide by the company’s safety program and all safety initiatives, policies and procedures.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Comply with OSHA and other appropriate standards.
- Perform any other duties/projects as requested by management
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Degree or equivalent is required.
- Two years prior supervisory experience in a Distribution Center required.
- Prior experience working in a similar position with cell phones or other electronic devices preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including internet navigation, Intermediate level Microsoft Excel; prior experience utilizing an ERP or WMS system.
- Requires strong attention to detail and ability to quickly and accurately complete repetitive work.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must be able to read, count accurately, do simple math (adding/subtracting), and write legibly. The ability to follow directions is extremely important.
- Must be able to produce accurate work repeatedly while working in a fast-paced environment

- This position works in a distribution center environment with moderate noise levels. Temperature of work area is affected by outside temperature.
- Individuals must be able to stand for long periods of time (at least 4 hours straight, twice in an 8-hour day) while performing detailed work.
- Position involves reaching, grasping, and manipulating small items continually. May also involve standing/bending/stooping as needed primarily on a level surface throughout the day.
- Physical strength to handle lifting up to 30-pound objects frequently.
- Requires keen eyesight and normal dexterity of hands and fingers to manipulate small objects with continual repetition.
