The Opportunity
As the Product Lead, you will report to the Head of Product and Technical Architecture of this new "Stealth Startup" and work extremely close with senior leaders and external partners. You will develop a multi-sided platform to change the way people shop today – bringing together sellers, consumers, and hosts. You will oversee the product roadmap of the platform and will help define the strategic vision for your team.
As a founding team member, you will be directly involved in the tech and product build of a world class platform & app experience for live and "live-like" digital shopping pulling from detailed user testing / insights, human design principles, and technical architectural design elements and servers that allow a seamless, fast, and entertaining customer and shop owner experience.
You will build close relationships with Partners to ensure that the team's effort is aligned with strategy. You will manage dependencies with other team's functions while identifying, building, and managing strategic partnerships across the different teams. You will be working within the team to ensure value and user feedback is translated into new developments.

Your Impact
Management & Vision
-
Lead the tech team through agile ways of working through the build of our world-class livestream shopping platform
-
Set clear product vision and communicate it to all teams and partners to ensure understanding of broader team strategy and requirements

Lead the product's value and support messaging, communication, and customer outreach
-
Maintain a backlog 3 to 4 sprints ahead of the team

Facilitate release planning with partners and bi-weekly demos

Be accountable for product specific Indicators once solution enters production and communicate regular tracking to partners
Product Backlog Management

Translate product roadmap into product backlog – Collaborating with the whole product team to ensure that the strategic intent of any solution that is developed meets goals

Manage, adjust for risk, and prioritize product backlog; Ensure that work items are sequenced according to business priority and, thus, guide iteration goals and iteration content by prioritized stories

Lead backlog grooming to deconstruct, refine and estimate stories, add acceptance criteria and ensure long-range technical planning
Requirements Management

Incorporate data algorithms, research, and market analysis to inform overall product strategy, enhance user satisfaction and ensure customer-driven design ahead of alpha and beta launch (start date timing dependent)

Work with subject matter experts to gather requirements, understand business rules and challenges or limitations and respond to needs
Story Documentation and Acceptance Criteria:

Document function requirements deconstructing the epic into actionable user stories. Ensure that stories focus on the value the user gains from the product

Define the test/feature acceptance criteria which will confirm that a user story works
What You Bring
-
Bachelor's degree in a suitable area such as Digital Media, Engineering, Marketing, etc. or a combination of education and experience

5+ years of digital Product experience at a similar scale – or relevant work experience
-
Mastery of Product ownership fundamentals (e.g., prioritization, story writing, backlog management, external dependencies)

Understanding of standard product practices, technology and supporting industry principles

Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies, managing a backlog/release plan, tracking team level metrics, removing blockers (burndown chart, release burn up)

Deep experience leading teams in an agile setting

Curiosity to understand the interaction between technology and our consumers, and experience with solving this problem for our consumers

Experience with software development and collaboration tools such as Jira, VersionOne, Confluence, Trello, or Slack.

Strong problem solver with ability to manage and lead the team to push the solution and progress

Candidates looking for an exciting start-up environment and growth opportunities with significant earning potential - based on the success of the new organization - this is the company for you! Our compensation package is a competitive combination of base salary, short-term annual bonus, long-term cash-based incentives and a Founder's Bonus for initial team members. Base salary for this role ranges from $170,000-$190,000 plus the strong annual and long-term variable incentives noted. Salary ranges are general guideline only, and actual salaries will vary and are based on factors such as a candidate's qualifications, skills, experience and geographic location as well as business and market conditions. This compensation package provides significant rewards to the candidate over-time based on company performance and personal success.
