• BS Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Material Science with ABET accreditation or equivalent. No technology degrees
• 9 or more years' of experience in an engineering discipline.
• 9 or more years' of experience working in a cross functional environment and/or business unit teams.
• Material Review Board Certification experience or similar Liaison Engineering experience.
• Aerospace experience, fabrications, manufacturing, and/or additive manufacturing experience.
• Production engineering experience.
• Relevant technological knowledge

An employer is looking for a Product Review Engineer to sit in Everett, Renton and Seattle, WA. This team is seeking experienced level Liaison Engineers (Production Review Engineers). This requisition is for multiple positions across several client Sites in the state of Washington. We are looking for proactive individuals who can make quick engineering decisions that can go beyond their desks and into the factory for hands on engineering. This position requires excellent communication and collaboration skills, partnering closely with production personnel. The ideal candidate will apply engineering principles to assess and resolve product/process aircraft issues through the product/aircraft lifecycle. They will analyze, conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design non-conformances. Identify, document and communicate deviations that could impact design intent and safety, as well as develop and implement product/process improvements.

This position involves daily exposure to factory environment which includes stairs, trip hazards, high noise areas, chemical hazards (breathing and handling), and entering airplanes during their many stages of build.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Applies broad knowledge of client design and/or engineering principles.

* Assesses and resolves product/process issues through the product lifecycle.

* Leads research of technical, operational and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and designs interim and final engineering solutions.

* Leads others to analyze, conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for design non-conformances.

* Develops and implements product/process improvements.

* Uses innovative approaches and unique applications to address complex nonconforming conditions and to detect deviations.

* Analyzes reported problems for potential safety issues; recommends and manages complex resolution. Leads develop of interim and final solutions.

* Provides! design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews.

* Represents the engineering community in the build through post production environment.

* Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.

* Develops customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.

* Leads activities for on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigation or support teams. Designs appropriate jacking and shoring schemes.

* Leads the design of interim structural repairs and conducts static strength analysis.

* Develops and leads non-destructive test procedures, tools and standards.

* Ensures supplier and build partner compliance with Boeing standards.

* Develops and implements technical training curriculum for internal or external customers.

* Additional Job Description

* Includes supplier qualifications, action plans, audits, performance monitoring, and assisting key suppliers towards industrial standards of excellence. Sourcing Engineer will have various levels of differentiation which are related to level of technical understanding of engineering drawings and ability to manage vendors.

* Broadening knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in own discipline to execute functional policy/strategy; still developing functional knowledge and skills.

* Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

* May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined policy/parameters.

* A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between vendor and Amazon. Explains technical information to others.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $65.36 - $76.47 per hour
