JOB DESCRIPTION
The Producer will consistently deliver exceptional service to our clients through excellent client insight, creative leadership, and project management. This position is an integral part of our Events & Experiences team and will be responsible for managing, supporting and/or executing various events from initial concept through execution and final reconciliation.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for leading and/or supporting the planning and execution of multiple key events
- Manage, prioritize and oversee events from creative concept and development through initial briefing to reconciliation including but not limited to budget management, site selection, presentation development, video design & development, branding and graphic design, interactive/experiential technology, scenic/set design, décor design, staffing, etc.
- Scope out and budget production deliverables for business meetings, product launches, experiential events live and virtual
- Manage events with live show/programming and technical elements with limited supervision (i.e. awards show, panels and summits requiring show/script development, tech teams and stage/show management)
- Act as the client’s primary point of contact during the planning and execution of live events
- Responsible for fiscal success of the program including accurate and timely budgeting and reconciliation of events
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers
- Negotiate and review supplier contracts and addendums for accuracy
- Maximize and monitor opportunities for increasing value adds, savings, and cost efficiencies
- Actively generate business from current and past clients
- Work with the team to ensure adherence to client and agency standards
- Manage and ensure SLA’s (Service Level Agreements) are monitored and achieved throughout the event production process
- Field questions and offer advice to team members to assist with creative problem solving
- Be knowledgeable and update the team on best practices, new suppliers, services and venues
- Be proactive with ideas and creative solutions
- Provide support for other team members as required
- Attend industry events as necessary
- Keep up to date on the industry through websites and periodicals
- Actively contribute to the conceptual, creative and strategic development of programs
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 6 – 8+ years’ live event production experience, preferably in an agency environment
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Advanced project management skills including budget creation, management and reconciliation
- Experience with business meetings, product launches and experiential events
- Exceptional ability to establish relationships and maintain a positive rapport with clients, vendors and suppliers
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Advanced negotiating, risk management and contracting skills
- Good/advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good/advanced working knowledge of audio visual systems as it relates to live events
- Creative problem solver, resourceful, team player
- Calm and flexible approach to handling the pressure and stress of ever changing demands
- Highly organized with excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Ambitious and proactive
- Willing to travel when required
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Advanced working knowledge of key US destinations (e.g. New York, Chicago, Miami, Boston, etc.) including venues and suppliers
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels
- Familiarity with Salesforce and project collaboration tools (e.g. Slack, Apollo)
- Experience working with technical vendors, fabricators, specialists and artists
- Experience with meetings & conference logistics and/or international events
ADMINISTRATION & GENERAL:
- Assume responsibility for own environment, ensuring adherence to health and safety policies while having clean smart surroundings
- Work intelligently and ensure that team management is aware of problems or issues which negatively affect productivity
- Ensure knowledge is shared within the team to enable them to work smarter and more efficiently
- Accurate adherence to company’s time tracking policies and systems
- Work on ad hoc requests as required
United States Residents: The base pay for this position ranges from $70,00-$100,000. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
