We are looking for a motivated, positive individual that is comfortable working in a growing fast-paced environment. allocortech is looking for a Procurement Specialist. The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for enabling our sales, operations, and engineering teams to meet all internal and external goals. Using strong organization skills, expert spreadsheet development, and the ability to multitask, the Procurement Specialist will work closely with the rest of the team to manage inventory needs and planning; prepare, submit, and track purchase orders; oversee packing, shipping, and receiving; manage office supply needs; and provide administrative and clerical support. The procurement specialist will represent allocortech to vendors and customers as needed and will communicate regular updates to team leads
Description:
- Inventory Management
- Develop and maintain a best practice tracking for inventory planning, ordering, and tracking
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and movement of all parts and products in the business.
- Warehouse and track inventory, monitor inventory levels, and order when low levels are triggered
- Communicate and coordinate with project leads to understand inventory requirements and timelines
- Prepare Bill of Materials, purchase orders, and other documentation
- Research the market for best quality, price, and speed, quantity discounts, and similar
- Monitor all orders to understand potential shipping delays, missing parts, and problems that could delay production schedules
- Maintain relationships and regular communication with vendors
- Shipping and Receiving
- Place orders with vendors in accordance with project requirements
- Receive all orders and check for accuracy, completeness, and quality
- Prepare and ship all deliveries to customers
- Facilities Management
- Track, order, and stock office supplies
- Project Support
- Oversee subcontractor/major material purchase orders and all associated tracking of material
- Support projects by providing administrative and clerical support
- Participate in team meetings to provide updates and to stay informed on project goals, timelines, and requirements
- Other duties as assigned
Required Experience
- 2+ years’ experience working in professional lab, office, or similar environment
- Near expert level spreadsheet proficiency
- Self-starter with strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills to work with both internal and external team members at all levels – engineers, technicians, senior leaders, vendors, customers
Bonus Points
- Experience with electrical manufacturing and electrical component ordering
- Experience working in or with an early-stage startup company.
- Experience with implementing ERP systems
