About the job
Performance Validation is seeking a full-time Process Automation Engineer or Sr. Process Automation Engineer to partner with our project teams at a client site in Indianapolis, IN.
Responsibilities
  • Contribution and review of the following documentation
    • User Requirements
    • Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation test cases
    • Electrical System Design and Architecture
    • Software Design
    • Robotics Design
  • PLC and/or Robotics Coding and Debugging
  • Execution of design-related validation documentation
  • Performing Source Code Reviews
  • Participation on design and project teams
Requirements you will need
Education:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field
  • A technical degree with at least 4 years of process automation or robotics experience will be considered
Experience:
  • Great interpersonal and communications skills to work effectively in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast pace working environment
  • Be a self-starter and be motivated to provide a solid product quality and customer experience
  • Be able to integrate and interact well within the customer-client relationship
  • Strong equipment/process troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft Office applications
  • A strong desire to learn!
Preferred Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Software Engineering with 3-5 years’ experience in process automation
  • Working knowledge of risk-based cGMP and GAMP regulations in a pharmaceutical environment
  • Computer Systems Validation (CSV) experience
  • Control systems experience, especially with Allen Bradley or Siemens PLC’s, RSView HMIs, or DeltaV DCS and any related development tools
  • Vision system experience
  • Experience with process databases such as OSI-PI and relational databases such as SQL Server
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Teams
  • Familiarity with automated warehouses
  • Multi-level network infrastructure design
  • Knowledge of virtualization and clustering configurations
  • Programming experience in VBA (Visual Basic for Applications) with Windows API’s and/or .NET
